A True Three-Tier Sauna Experience
One of the Avalon’s defining features is its spacious three-tier bench system, designed to give bathers greater flexibility in how they experience the heat and löyly.
Because heat naturally rises, every sauna develops different temperature zones from floor to ceiling. The Avalon’s three-tier seating takes advantage of this natural heat stratification by allowing bathers to sit higher in the room, placing more of the body within the warmer löyly zone.
Move to the upper level for the fullest heat and most intense sauna experience, settle into the middle level for a more moderate session, or use the lower level when entering, cooling down, or simply preferring gentler heat.
The additional bench level also helps raise the bather’s feet and body higher into the sauna’s heat zone, a design principle often appreciated by experienced sauna enthusiasts. With generous room for sitting, stretching out, and enjoying the sauna with family and friends, the Avalon’s three-tier layout is designed not simply to accommodate more people, but to create a more flexible and immersive sauna experience.
Built with substantial 2¾-inch double-groove Eastern White Cedar log walls, the Avalon delivers exceptional durability, natural beauty, and the classic character of a true timber sauna. Its striking standing seam black metal roof features a generous overhang that provides added protection from the elements while giving the sauna a clean, contemporary architectural finish.
The sauna itself measures 8' × 8', while the extended roof creates an impressive 10' × 10' overall footprint, giving the Avalon a bold and substantial presence in any outdoor setting.
Completing the design is a large tempered glass front window and door that fills the interior with natural light and frames beautiful outdoor views. For ultimate layout flexibility, the door can be installed on either the left or right side during assembly. Choose either a wood-burning heater for a traditional sauna atmosphere or an electric heater for convenient, consistent heat.

Care and Maintenance
Regular care will help keep your Leisurecraft sauna clean, comfortable and performing properly for years.
Cedar is naturally durable and requires minimal maintenance, but good ventilation, routine cleaning and periodic inspection are important.
Before Each Use
- Check that the sauna is clean and free of personal items or debris.
- Make sure the air intake and outlet vents are unobstructed to maintain proper airflow.
- Inspect the heater area and make sure nothing is resting against or near the heater.
- Check that the sauna stones are properly positioned and have not shifted excessively.
- Use a towel on the benches whenever possible to help absorb perspiration and protect the wood.
- If using a wood-burning heater, inspect the firebox and chimney area before lighting the fire.
After Each Use / Day-to-Day Care
- Ventilate the sauna: Open the door after each session to allow fresh air to circulate and moisture to escape.
- Wipe down surfaces: Use a clean, dry towel to remove moisture and perspiration from benches, backrests and other wooden surfaces.
- Leave benches and floor areas uncovered so they can dry thoroughly.
- Remove wet towels, clothing and other items from the sauna.
- If required, lightly rinse heavily used bench areas with clean water and allow them to dry completely.
- Do not leave standing water inside the sauna.
Regular Cleaning
- Depending on how frequently the sauna is used, clean the interior periodically.
- Use warm water and a mild soap with a soft cloth or non-abrasive brush.
- Pay particular attention to benches, backrests, floor areas and other high-contact surfaces.
- Wipe or rinse away any soap residue.
- Allow the sauna to dry completely with the door open.
- Lightly sand stained or rough cedar surfaces when necessary using fine-grit sandpaper and always sand with the grain.
- Vacuum or sweep underneath benches periodically to remove dust, hair and debris.
For commercial or frequently used saunas, cleaning should be performed more often.
Sauna Heater & Stones
The heater should be inspected regularly and maintained according to the heater manufacturer's instructions.
- Check sauna stones periodically for cracking, deterioration or excessive settling.
- Rearrange the stones as required to maintain good airflow through the heater.
- Replace broken or deteriorated stones.
- Never pack sauna stones tightly together, as proper airflow through the heater is important.
- Keep the area around the heater clear of towels, buckets and other objects.
- For wood-burning heaters, remove ashes when completely cool and inspect the chimney and flue regularly.
Always follow the specific care and maintenance instructions supplied by the heater manufacturer.
Cedar Care
The Interior Cedar
The interior cedar of your Leisurecraft sauna is normally left natural and unfinished. Over time, cedar may naturally darken or develop variations in colour. This is normal and does not affect the performance of the sauna.
If you wish to enhance and protect the interior wood:
- Use only a product specifically designed for sauna interiors.
- Leisurecraft recommends Livos Meldos Sauna Oil for this purpose.
- Follow the product instructions carefully.
- Never apply paint, varnish or conventional exterior stain to interior sauna surfaces.
The Exterior Cedar
The exterior cedar can either be left unfinished or protected with an exterior wood finish.
Natural Weathering
If left untreated, cedar will gradually weather to a natural silver-grey colour. This is normal and does not reduce the natural durability of the wood.
Maintaining the Original Cedar Colour
- Apply a high-quality penetrating exterior wood finish suitable for cedar.
- Leisurecraft recommends and stocks Livos exterior wood finishes.
- Apply the finish to clean, dry wood.
- Reapply as required when the colour begins to fade.
- Avoid applying exterior stain or finish to the interior of the sauna unless the product is specifically approved for sauna use.
Barrel Sauna Band Maintenance
For barrel-style saunas, the stainless-steel bands should be checked periodically.
Cedar naturally expands and contracts as humidity and weather conditions change. This movement is normal.
- Check the bands after the initial installation, typically within the first month.
- Inspect them periodically afterward.
- Tighten loose bands as required using a ¾-inch wrench.
- Bands should be secure but should not be excessively tightened.
The goal is to allow the cedar staves to expand naturally against the stainless-steel bands while maintaining a secure structure.
Seasonal Care
In spring and fall:
- Inspect the exterior cedar and roofing.
- Check doors, hinges, handles and hardware.
- Check barrel bands where applicable.
- Inspect vents and make sure they remain clear.
- Inspect the heater and sauna stones.
- Look underneath benches and around the floor for accumulated debris.
- Check the sauna base to make sure water drains away properly.
- Lightly sand any rough cedar surfaces as required.
- Reapply exterior wood finish if desired.
For outdoor saunas, remove excessive leaves, snow or debris from the roof and around the sauna throughout the year.
Winter Care
Leisurecraft outdoor saunas are designed for year-round use, including Canadian winters.
- Remove excessive snow accumulation from the roof.
- Keep the entrance and surrounding area clear of snow and ice.
- Make sure vents are not blocked by snow.
- Do not use sharp metal tools to remove ice from cedar surfaces.
- Continue to ventilate the sauna after every use, even during cold weather.
- Allow the sauna interior to dry thoroughly after each session.
Once a Year
At least once per year:
- Thoroughly clean the sauna interior.
- Inspect benches and backrests.
- Tighten loose screws, bolts and hardware.
- Check doors, hinges and handles.
- Inspect ventilation openings.
- Inspect the heater and electrical connections visually.
- Inspect and rearrange sauna stones and replace damaged stones.
- For wood-burning heaters, inspect the chimney and have it cleaned as required.
- Check barrel bands on applicable models.
- Inspect exterior cedar and lightly sand rough areas.
- Reapply exterior wood protection if desired.
- Inspect roofing and exterior components for signs of wear or damage.
What to Avoid
- Do not use bleach, chlorine or harsh household cleaners on cedar.
- Do not pressure wash the sauna interior.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning pads on cedar.
- Do not apply paint, varnish or conventional exterior stain to interior sauna surfaces.
- Do not block sauna ventilation.
- Do not leave wet towels or standing water inside the sauna.
- Do not place combustible materials near the heater.
- Do not pack sauna stones too tightly.
- Do not excessively tighten barrel bands.
With routine cleaning, good ventilation and periodic inspection, your Leisurecraft sauna will require very little maintenance while providing years of enjoyable use.
Warranty
5 Year Residential Limited Warranty Policy
All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft Inc. ("LeisureCraft") are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of five (5) years, beginning on the date the product is received by the original end-user consumer.
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient or improper maintenance, natural weather conditions or failure to follow the manufacturer's installation, usage, or care instructions.
In the event of a valid warranty claim, LeisureCraft will provide replacement parts at no charge. However, the replacement of parts will not extend the original warranty period.
This warranty is limited solely to the replacement of parts and does not cover any associated service, labor, or installation costs.

All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician. Failure to comply with this requirement will void the warranty.

When will I know my order has shipped?
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment. If, for some reason, there is a delay in stock, we will contact you before accepting payment.
When will my order ship?
If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within 2-5 business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at sales@saunaheatersupply.com.

Cancellations (Before Order Ships)

Cancellations of Custom Orders
Custom or made to order products cannot be canceled or refunded as these products are put into production specifically for your order.
These units, are custom made to your specification or created once you order. Once you place your order they start building your unit. Your warranty will guarantee you a fully functional and operational product. If it is not clear whether your order is custom or made to order, please message or call us.
All sales are final for Custom made and Made-to-order products.
Refunds and Returns
If you need to exchange your product, you may do so. You, as the customer, are responsible for any shipping costs throughout any returns and exchange processes.
Not all orders are available for return once they have shipped. We order our products directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, if the manufacturer will not permit us to return a product, we cannot offer you a return. This often varies on a case-by-case basis; please reach out to us if you would like specific information on your brand and/or product.
Due to drastically increasing LTL/freight shipping costs, any outright returns will incur 25% cancellation fee + return shipping costs. If you are replacing the product with something else, we may be able to help you cover some of the costs depending on the product.
Shipping Times
We promise to do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible. We provide estimated shipping times on the product pages based upon what our suppliers and freight companies tell us, and those estimated shipping times may change or vary without notice (Due to supply chain issues, the steel mills behind on making metal, the manufacturers delayed because of the mills, the overwhelmingly demand on shipping, factory/warehouse and dock workers and so on).
Order delays have proven to be unavoidable and outside of Sauna Heater Supply's control. While this might be frustrating, we ask you to please be patient and understanding with us in these tough times. We thank you for your business and appreciate your patience.
Warranty
Warranties vary depending upon the manufacturer - see individual product pages for details. Warranty damages occur over time and from use. If an item was damaged upon arrival, and not reported within 30 days, that is not a warranty claim.
