FAQs
What Are HUUM Sauna Heaters Known For?
HUUM sauna heaters are known for modern, nature-inspired designs. The HUUM DROP Series received a Red Dot Award for its minimalist construction. HUUM heaters also have large stone capacities, which give smooth, long-lasting steam and heat.
What Sizes of Saunas Are HUUM Heaters Suitable For?
HUUM heaters cover sauna rooms from 123 to 1,236 cu ft, with capacities from 3.5 kW to 18 kW. Match your sauna's volume to the room size listed for each model.
Are HUUM Sauna Heaters Energy-Efficient?
HUUM electric heaters such as the HIVE and CLIFF Series have an internal air tunnel that accelerates heating by 25%. Their large stone capacities also help retain heat.
How Many Sauna Stones Do HUUM Heaters Require?
The stone capacity depends on the model, from about 122 lbs on the smaller units to over 500 lbs on the largest. Check each product page for the exact figure.
Can HUUM Heaters Be Used for Both Dry and Steam Saunas?
Yes. For a dry sauna, turn on the heater and wait for it to reach the set temperature. For a steam sauna, pour water over the hot stones to create steam and a more humid environment.
Do HUUM Heaters Require Special Installation?
HUUM heaters must be connected to the power supply by a certified electrician, who makes sure they are wired and vented correctly. For wood-burning heaters, consult a professional about the exhaust and ventilation.
What Is the Lifespan of a HUUM Sauna Heater?
With regular maintenance, HUUM heaters can last for many years. For electric heaters, check the electrical connection, stones, and heating elements after each use. For wood-burning heaters, check the chimney and stones, and clean the heater after each use. Replace worn parts or stones as needed.
What Control Options Are Available for HUUM Sauna Heaters?
HUUM heaters work with digital controllers and smartphone apps. They are compatible with the UKU sauna control system, which lets you set the temperature and time in advance.
Are HUUM Sauna Heaters Safe to Use?
HUUM heaters include safety features such as overheating protection, a child safety lock, and a door sensor. To keep them safe, make sure they are installed properly and maintained regularly.
Where Can I Buy Replacement Parts for HUUM Sauna Heaters?
You can buy replacement parts from Sauna Heater Supply, from the HUUM website, or from authorized dealers. We carry stones, control units, heating elements, and other accessories.
